My Titan to become Project Titan in Nissan Sport magazine...
I am sooooo excited, this is going top be one very busy year for me I can tell already.
Go to the magazine's web site - www.nissansportmag.com
Select Look Inside and then Spring 2007 (#3)
Select the contents page and then scroll down to the bottom, does this pic look familiar?
I'm not sure yet what all we are going to do to my Titan this year, but I know it will be fun! The primary objective for the mods will be to make the truck unique looking while preserving its dependable daily driver status, plus enhancing its abilities to tow as well as its performance. The editors and I have decided we do not want to go off the deep end with this project, but we do want to have some fun with it, this is strongly motivated by my desire to make it unique looking and to not make my gas mileage plummet.
The stage we are at now is I’m writing the 1st installment which is a backgrounder on some of the simple things I have done to the truck already, as well as starting the process to find companies willing to donate parts and then the whole selection process of what parts I want to add.
I still can’t believe this is happening to me, the guy who has essentially never won anything.

Outstanding! They are a great bunch of guys to work with, all about quality. I've got a little something in the works, but nothing as big as that! This is a breakthrough moment for the Titan community, Do it up right!

Actually, it is sort of funnier than that.
I had already worked out the deal with Nissan Sport, but had promissed them I would not say anything here until they made the announcement. Then during the time I was waiting for them to get to the next web update/magazine issue I noticed they had a new poll, and that was the poll you are talking about.
I'm the one that started the poll thread here, all the while I was dying to let the news out of the bag. Then when you guys made the poll such a run away hit I contacted the editor again and they were all laughing their butts off.
So, the only benefit I got was lots of laughs, I already had the deal by the time the poll was done.

I must admit, the S is a dream car, nearly the perfect tool for the track. However, if Nissan can inject a lot more power into the 350Z and drop some of the weight, I would be more than happy to ave one of them on the trailer next. And clearly, the titan is just such a great tow vehicle, just amazing. Thanks by the way.

Believe me guys, not only do I plan to keep ya posted, I'm going to be picking all your brains on the things to do, i.e. the brands of products I should be saying yes too.
One of the first things I was planning to add this spring no matter what is a set of black Bushwacker fender flares. The tiny sand/salt mixture they use around here in the winter is just sandblasting the crap out of the lower edges on the truck bed. Due to a little run in with bambi and the fact that some asswipe at the tire store drove my truck into a wall, I have had both sides of the bed repainted in the last 4 months, so spring seems like the perfect time to get them added in the hopes that with their addition and some more 3M clear bra I cal greatly reduce this issue.
Next of course I must get the chrome trim for the tail gate.
I already have the LazerLite and really, really like that tonneau.
Now as far as things for Project Titan I was thinking along these lines.
What do you guys think, what would you propose?
- performance exhaust
- cold air intake
- something to raise the rear slightly when the trailer is hooked up
- 18" summer wheels
- 18" summer tires
- big brake kit, but not one that takes crossed driller roors
