How much does tailgate weigh?

based on how the mofo drops ( 04 models ) I would guess 20-35 lbs?

Hard to say unless someone actually weighed it. You still trying to figure out the weight of the truck ?

I would go to your dealer and say they messed up. It's def. not 6-7k

My Titan comes in at around 5200 lbs with 1/4 tank of gas and me not in it.

The tailgate..I've removed mine. Not sure what it weights.....30-40 lbs???

Well I found it weighs 5340 with 1/4 tank and nothing taken out of it. Now, I am just trying to figure if I get below 5000 without too much hassle but it is starting to look impossible....at least not without removing more stuff than I am willing to.

i think it would be really hard to get under 5k. Don't forget about the income tax break you get for the license fee.

tailgate is about 75 lbs..... truck curb weights (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curb_weight) can be found on www.nissanusa.com under specs.... a 4wd se KC weighs in right under 5000 lbs with no driver, who know how much fuel and stuff they weigh it with....

Manual states the Net weight is with fluids full, I take that as a full tank of fuel.

Don't we still own bathroom scales?
