Noob here

Hello all. Just introducing myself. I picked up my 2007 XE KC last Friday. It's Majestic Blue with only Preferred Package and mats. I'm moving up from a '99 Silverado which I have sold. I've wanted a Titan since they came out in "04. I had never driven a Titan before getting mine.....bought it sight unseen via internet rep at the dealer. I love this truck! the power, ride and handling are all way better than what I replaced. Really looking forward to learning more from this site.

Re: Noob here

Congrats on the purchase. You bought yours same way I did mine. Never laid eyes on it until I went to pick it up. You'd never have convinced me 20 years ago that that's how I'd buy a vehicle at some point. You'll learn lots around here. Enjoy the truck and the forum. Let us know if we can help.

Re: Noob here

Thanks for the welcome! It's hard to resist just cruising around to enjoy how well this thing drives. I couldn't resist the $3,500 rebate and I know I got a good price before the rebate was applied. Now I just got to get my XM SkyFi cradle and antenna installed. I would like to get some SE wheels at some point as well. Let the modifications begin!

Re: Noob here

Thanks again for the warm welcome guys! I've put 340 miles on my truck since last Friday evening. It's loosening up nicely now.Is it true that the exhaust on the 07s is quieter than earlier years? Mine sounds great...just loud enough to hear it but not really intrusive. I've listened to the exhaust clips here which sound great but I'm using this truck for a 25 mile commute and I think I might get tired of a whole lot more exhaust noise......argh!....must be strong and resist mod bug.

Well I spend about 2 hours in the morning and then 1 hour at night back from work. I have Flowmaster 40 (which I believe is one of the loudest exhausts available) - and I don't have problem with it. First when I installed it I thought that I would enjoy it for a week or two and then it would annoy the hell out of me. Well, I have around 7500miles since then - and I still do rooom-rooom in the traffic, just to hear how it sounds.
