Kumho tires.

Does anybody have pics of the stock size kumho tires.I have looked this site over and all I can find are the larger tires.Looking at kumho's different sites some show white letter and some show blackwall.I have 265/70/18.Do the 285/70/17 look the same? Thanks. If I could see either of the stock size tires on somebody's would really help.

Re: Kumho tires.

TireRack shows the 17' and 18" sizes available in blackwall only. The picture of the tire shows whitewall. This does not necessarily mean that the tire doesn't come in a whitewall for these sizes, but it might.

Re: Kumho tires.

I'm alittle confused about this tire.Doing a search I also have heard about the newer tire having a different sidewall and then I hear that that only applies to the larger tires. If I can find someone to post a pick of a stock size tire then maybe that will clear some of this up for me.Thanks.

Re: Kumho tires.

Dunno. Kumho's site shows outline white lettering, but they don't list an 18" tire size.

Re: Kumho tires.

I know they make it in a 18" because I have seen them at a tire shop I just don't know how new they are.I don't thnk they have had them long but that doesn' mean they're not the older Kumho's.I really don't know if there is even a difference.

Re: Kumho tires.

These are the 18s. Same as stock (or close enough). A lot wider though:

Re: Kumho tires.

stock tire size just in the Kumho road venture A/T. I really like the tires and have not had any problems with them.

I don't think they come in white lettering

Re: Kumho tires.

My brother has these on his Pathfinder and they're great. They're only 15" though. We also had some of these on a van for our shop and they were really nice. Great tires for the price.

Re: Kumho tires.

I have them stock size in the 17's. They do come with two sidewalls. The ones I have are the ones shown on the site and I believe that's what you'll get in the 17" size. But if you go up to the 18" 325/60 or 325/65 you'll get the other sidewall (pic 3) I've sure liked mine so far (about 5k miles).

Re: Kumho tires.

gixxer- You're right. The stock size 18" tire has the "original" sidewall. The wider tires have that "new" sidewall that you're referring to.

Re: Kumho tires.

Thanks for clearing that up fellows. I never thought one tire could be so confusing. It doesn't seem to matter about the sidewall after all because I just want the stock size even though the bigger tires with the new sidewall does look better.
