4x2 lift kit advice

I currently own 2007 XE Crew Cab 4x2. I dont really go off roading much (other than camping on the North Georgia mountains), however, I love the looks. Im considering doing a 6 inch lift with 35" X 12.5" tires. Is this a wise thing to do? Or is 4x2 not worth lifting at all? Please advise...

Re: 4x2 lift kit advice

i think it has to be worth it to YOU. I know a few people who will/have lifted a 4X2, including me. i have the 07 4X2 KC and i'm thinking about getting the 6" lift. it's not like you're going to enter any extreme rock climbing comps... but it'll help you when you're off road camping and if you have quads or doing some mild trail riding. personally i like the look of a lifted truck... something that sets you apart from the crowd. you have to like the look enough to out weigh the down side, because you have to spend 3-4K on the lift, tires and wheels and take the hit on gas millage.

Re: 4x2 lift kit advice

I lifted my 06 shortly after buying it and i have no regrets. The truck looks better and handles great with the larger tires. I put the ProComp stage 1 but would have went with spindles and DR's if they would have been available then.

Re: 4x2 lift kit advice

Just get the lift who cares what people say or think. Mine is also a 4x2 and I like it raised up.

Re: 4x2 lift kit advice

My poser lifted 2wd owns many 4wds.

I prefer spindles to bracket lifts.
