yes i had my dash replaced about 2 yrs ago because of that. I guess it is a problem with the 04's.

Re: ac controls.

Happen to me at three times three days in a row back in the winter. The lights would be out in the morning and come on in the afternoon. They have never done this again.

I've seen this issue posted previously but i have never seen an answer explaining what causes this.

Re: ac controls.

Very common, many threads on this. Just roll the dash brightness knob and they will come on. There really is no fix for it that I am aware of. I had them change my a/c control head, and now for a different problem they are changing my brightness controller.

So any time my ac lights go out just turn the brightness knob and they should come on?

Re: ac controls.

Yep! It's been doing the same for me for about two years... Oddly enough only on very rainy/humid days. Must be something up with the rheostat on the dimmer reacting to moisture?

Re: ac controls.

The dimmer switch is just a ground going through a reohstat (spelling ) but the reohstat just sends a signal to the computer and since all the lights aren't doing it it has to be a problem with the computer not the reohstat.
