yeah anywhere between 8-10... i driven with it on for a few days (during the week my haul to and from work is 5 minutes, and that's if i hit the two traffic lights) and the truck only needed 24 gallons.
With the price of gas these days, I usually fill up when I'm down to half a tank so it is not so painful.
Me too.....

so do you end up spending the same ammount but filling up twice as much?
Exactly...really no difference whatsoever. Technically, you'd probably get worse gas mileage from having your tank 1/2 full or more, all the time. Therefore, it'll cost you more to never go below 1/2 a tank.

I usually have about 7 left, which is interesting because if we have a 28 gallon tank, and the light goes on with about 7 left in the tank, that means we still have 1/4 tank, yet the needle is well below the 1/4 mark. This isn't unique to our trucks, i've experienced it with other vehicles as well. It doesn't seem that hard to construct a gas tank with accurate sensors. Oh well, what do I know.
