I just recently bought my Titan and was wondering if anyone
had raced a Hemi. My dad has one and keeps ragging me about my Titan
I am fixing to find out for my self but hate to let him be right. I have 05
SE 4x4 with Injen CAI and TBS I just installed and am fixing to get some exhaust work done, and +2 timing advance.

Yes, the Titan is a bit lighter and puts more power to the ground. Don't believe the 345HP claim from Dodge. The Titan is the faster truck. Race your dad for a nice dinner...then pick an expensive place! lol.

I have the Injen intake, JBA Exhaust, JBA Headers, Helix TB Spacer and the 2* advance and it takes a highly modded Hemi to beat me.
Quad Cab that is. It takes a nice CAM and long tube headers to beat me.
Get the JBA exhaust and you'll have one hell of a chance.
By the way...what does he have...quad cab.....Regualar cab....what mods? Tell me this and I'll tell 100% yes or no.

His Dodge is a quad cab 2 wheel drive without any mods. As far as my Titan the exhaust is a concern of mine. I am wondering if it is better for true duals cat back system or a sigle larger piping system. Also the headers are they worth the money, and do you have any problems with gaskets or things of that sort with them. I keep getting horror stories about gaskets wondering if that is a thing of the past.
what some don't know is that while domestics often over rate their hp/tq from factory, Nissan has often under rated theirs, this is true with the Titan. It has more hp than claimed...
With the Titan and the tunning of it's engine do not put true duals or open up the exhaust too much. I'd say go with JBA!!! I run really well with it....so does Markislive....shailey....
So your dad is stock.....you'll take him without much problem.
Make sure you drive the piss out of your Titan for a day or two doing some Wide Open Throttle runs. The Titan does have a grandma mode.
Get her into performance mode and you will smoke his butt!!!!

do what ??? lol... also i heard that after a certain amount of miles the motor runs harder ? true or no ? explain.
Yup...if you don't drive the snot out of your Titan she will go into granny mode. Many others can verify this.
I think it's STillen that verified that there is a program built into the ECU that holds the Torque of the motor off until....3700 miles or so.
I believe it.....I tested my truck before....and after...I gained about 3 tenths. But that just could have been normal break in....I don't know.
But there is no doubt that if you don't drive the truck hard...it will de-tune.

Ditto the comments on the larger exhaust. My 04 had duals with a 70 series flowmaster dual in dual out, an aftermarket X pipe. It was horrible on fuel, 10 mpg city and about 15 highway. I just bought an 07 CC, 4X4, SE, first tank of fuel, 14 mpg city. I am not changing exhaust again, this one stays stock.
D
really ??? now how should i keep it intune without getting tickets and only at 1300 miles on it ??? lol
Well if Stillen is corect you still won't get all she has for a copule more thousand miles.
I drive mine pretty hard. When I get on the freeway I'm going 80 before I hit the end of on ramps.
I do alot of G-tech testing with my Titan....so she sees alot of WOT runs. So my truck knows that she is going to get beat up.
The fastest my Titan ever runs is after pulling my 6500 lb travel trailer for awhile. It tunes for Torque and runs a tenth or two faster in the 1/4 mile after doing so. I've tested this several times...and it's always consistent.
