!st oil change WHEN?

i just hit 3000 miles but my first free oil change is at 7000. when did you guys change your oil first time. got a 07 kc.

Seems like a lot of people do it before 3000. I did it at 1500.

I did mine at 1,300. Pennzoil Platinum.

a friend of mine bought a high performance car in 06and he said you not suppose to change the first oil till at least 5000 due to engine break in. any truth???? i was gonna change it and get the 70000 one after.

now next question???

mineral or sytheic?????

I go by the six month schedule since I only rack up about 6000 a year. I left the factory oil in for 5 months, about 2700 miles. Engine is as quiet as a mouse, cold or hot. I only use regular 5w-30 Pennzoil with a Nissan filter.
