Look to the right of the hitch and you see a plug in the bumper. Could there be one for the hitch too?

I don't know what those plugs are Clint, but they're on MANY cars out there. My Mom's Camry has it. So does my wife's Volvo. I've always wondered, but never enough to pull it and see what's behind it. I guess I'll have to go google now.

Those plugs are for the tow truck to hook to the car. In the trunk, there should be something like an eyebolt with a threaded end on it. It may be under the carpeting with the spare. They pop that plug out, screw the eyebolt in, and hook the cable to the car to pull it up onto the flatbed.

I only know because it happened to my lady's Volvo when it wouldn't start a few months back.

Yep: my brother's old BMW 325i had an "access panel" in the bumper that actually fell off revealing a tow hook. Really surprised me.
