Rear shocks

I have searched and searched but still not sure which ones would be better.I want something that will give a better street ride and I'm going to start with the rear shocks.I know Bilstein has a new shock available along with the Bilsteins and DRs that Greg sells.Would one of these be my best choice or would a shock like Monroe give a better street ride.Thanks.

Re: Rear shocks

I think the rear DRs are great both on and off road. The PRG mount-modified silver colored Bilsteins seemed firmer, and for high speed cornering probably better, but the DRs are a nicer ride. Don't know about the blue and yellow Bilsteins but Monroe are very similar to Rancho and are both part of the same company. I'd go just go DR.

Re: Rear shocks

Isn't there some issue about which shock to choose depending on if you have a lift?

Re: Rear shocks

I believe the DR's can accommodate up to 2 in of rear lift after that height im not sure what your options are

Re: Rear shocks

I have the DR's and love 'em. Very nice ride and handles bumps and dips nicely.
