Brand New 08 Pro4x Lifted...

Hello, Im new here and hope to meet alot of new friends. Im from Wyoming and just bought a brand new Pro4x with Pro Comp 6", Toyo 35s on 20s. Black. I cant say enough about how badass this thing is. Next is Tint, Intake and exhaust. I will post some pics asap, im sure there isnt too many Pro 4xs lifted out there yet "i hope". Any idea of horsepower gains with the intake and exhaust?? thanks.

NICE!!! congratulations and welcome to the titan world! if i were to get a new truck i'd most certainly get another titan and a PRO4X lifted would be exactly what i would get!!! congrats again!!! you'll need 15 posts to post a pic or provide a link to a site that is hosting your picture.

Thumbs down Re: Brand New 08 Pro4x Lifted...

Here's a tip.

If you're going to lift a Titan forget the Pro4X or Off Road packages because the suspension/shocks they provide suck anyway. The only benefit is the gearing which as it stands is no great shakes.

So you get a Pro4X and you lift and all those crappy stock PRO4X susp. components go in the garbage anyway.

Do yourself a favor and buy an LE and slap on some PRO4X decals if you must.

I can see your point... BUT...
The pro-4x does come with a handful of more features that the LE doesn't than your giving it credit for.

I wouldn't trade my Pro-4x red stitch black leather seats for the LE's, nor the silver trim vs wood. and that is only a couple visual/comfort differences. I'm going to bed though, i'll argue this one later.

exactly! another dumb, buy an xe and build it to an SE argument. i would buy a PRO4x for what a PRO4x comes with. if you have a problem with people buying a certain model than go talk to Escalade owners for driving a glorified suburban.

Re: Brand New 08 Pro4x Lifted...

i think thats like buying a pair of prowings from walmart and putting air jordan stickers on them. The pro4x i have has a few things different than my buds 08 le. Gears, interior, comes with rancho shocks, white face gauges, so on. He now wishes he would have got the pro4x. I think all Titans Kick *** and whatever anyone wants is what they get. The pro4x i got from the dealership already had a pro comp 6" lift, pro comp 20"s and Toyo 35x12.50.

Thumbs up Re: Brand New 08 Pro4x Lifted...

dude, I'm glad you like your PRO4X or FX4 or whatever but I am still really pissed that I bought the Off Road package SE, instead of an LE.

I removed the Rancho shocks front and rear, wheels/tires, e-locker, and the crappy skid plates so basically
I paid 2k or whatever it was for a FREAKING 4X4 Off Road Decal.

That's why I am pissed.

i wouldn't trade my PRO-4X for an LE either. The interior is awesome, the gauges are awesome, it's got a locker, and it looks sick all blacked out. like mine.

Oh and congrats on the new rig!! So is your Titan a No Fear edition that also is a Pro 4x? I have a feeling that the intake and exhaust gains are lost to your tires and rims, maybe 5-10 hp and tq gained as opposed to 20hp. It really depends on the setup, some intake and exhaust combos will get you more than others. You're still doing a lot better than most other trucks on the road, the Titan's Endurance is a BEAST!

Re: Brand New 08 Pro4x Lifted...

I love the Pros' interior bits but wouldn't get one because of the cheap (to me anyhow) XE looking front end. I know some like the painted-to-match look but I prefer the chrome. I also don't like that a lot of the things you used to be able to get on the SE OR are only available on the cheaper looking exteriord' PRO4.

EDIT 3/23/08......gee how things change!

I don't understand how you can say that. The exterior of the PRO-4X is very rugged and luxurious. Both bumpers, front and rear, are colormatched to the body as opposed to the silver rear bumper on the XE and the smoke front bumper on the XE. I don't understand how you can say the exterior is cheap. But hey to each his own, and I guess you don't know what your missing....

I'm an 04 owner. The XE, being the entry level truck, lacked the nice chrome front end of the SE and LE models. Color matched bumpers (again, just MHO) look much cheaper to me. As for rugged looks....sure it looks rugged, but so does my 04 SE that happens to have the rear locker and off-road Rancho shocks that are now only available on the PRO4. That's just my opinion so, there is really no right or wrong on the subject.
