adding factory oem door locks

installed aftermarket door lock and not really happy....im thinking about getting nissan door locks motors and be done right.....damn xe and no power options.....what you think guys???????z

dont know.. i thot my xe was as low as it got but i had everything power...i guess i had popular pakge?

How timely... I just had power locks and windows put into my XE last week. The place didn't have a door lock kit that could handle the cables, so they got Nissan actuators and put those in instead.

Pro: It's the factory part.

Cons: Central locking doesn't work (i.e. when you lock a door manually, the other doesn't lock automatically), and there aren't any lock/unlock buttons.

I guess they figured this was okay, since I was getting a keyless entry put in, as well.

Anyway, it could just be that the place that did mine didn't know what they were doing. If you find out otherwise, let me know. I'd love to get these two "Cons" fixed.
