Re: Road Rage - It's not just young men anymore...

I know where my road rage comes from, but it is not explainable unless you actualy drive in LA Traffic where we have many Random Freeway Shootings etc, SUV's Weaving throught heavy traffic at 80+ MPH, people jumping in front of you and Purposly locking their brakes to cause a "not at fault" accident to get insurance money etc. Hell not too long ago there was a scam where a guy in a car would try to force cars into a Semi truck, and they were making good money on insurance claims untill they got caught.

No Joke, lots of people have been randomly selected to be shot in the head while driving here.

Not a good idea to keep a bat in the car, thats considered a weapon here in Cali unless you have a mit and ball too! I just keep a large cheap Harbor Freight Cresent Wrench in my truck instead, but it's pretty useless because around here theres alot of gangs and drivebys n such. So it would probably just get me shot anyways. It's more just there if someone pulls out a Bat or something and starts hitting me/my truck with it or what have you. I think if someone threw a cup of coffe at my face I'd probably have no problem taking out their car with my truck. Then again that is not likely to happen here cause it easily get you shot.

Thats every other person on the freeways here. I can't wait till it is compleatly Illegal next year. Right now traffic fines are doubled if your talking on the cellphone when the cop sees you do something wrong. I'm going to get an airhorn soon to deal with these people lol.

Re: Road Rage - It's not just young men anymore...

Road rage is stupid, period! But we all have to deal with it. I got cut off in my Titan the other day and I honked at him, he flips me off and takes off. I'm just like, what an *ss. Yesterday, an SUV cuts me off on my motorcycle to the point where I could touch his rear glass window. I just sped around him and looked at him like what the heck are you doing! Let's just say, he didn't even look at me cause he knew what he did but he looked 70yrs old so I'm just like whatever. Old and blind I guess.

I don't keep a gun in my car because I might use it. People are stupid and they are not worth going to jail for. Just remember that ya'll! I wouldn't even pick a fight with them on the road, that just means jail time. What you guys need to do is invest in a good tazer gun or stun gun and only use it if you have no further choices.

I've had an incident back when I was younger (road rage). I pulled my car over to a complete stop because this guy was playing bumper cars with me. When I pulled over, he came out with a bat and was about to start swinging, well I pull out my tazer and shot him in the chest. 15k volts sent him to the floor crying like a baby. Then I take off and later the authorities contacted me saying did I use my tazer on someone? I said yes, road rage victim. Cops said cool, we just gotta make a report about the issue and that was about it. Never heard from them again. Oh, the tazer studds require surgically removing, meaning he has to go to the hospital to remove it.

LA driving is always a test of survival. You never know who's going to shoot. Never, ever get out of the vehicle. Around here it's best just to realize that everyone expects the world to revolve around them. Like the guy driving 50 in the car pool lane because he thinks that's the safe speed and will be damned sure that nobody passes him by speeding up to 90 at the entry/exit points.

I've found myself more at peace and way more patient driving the Titan versus my old sedan. I think it's just because I love driving the truck so much.

Re: Road Rage - It's not just young men anymore...

I hate to throw this in but...

I've had two issues since getting my Titan. I'm a pretty conservative driver (no tickets since I was 19, I'm 40 now) and no accidents other than backing into a tree one night.

Anyway, the big pillar on the titan tends to hide things more. I'd swear there was no-one coming both times...

Not that it makes what she did excuable

I was stopped at a red light in the left turn lane listening to "Stone Cold Crazy" by Queen with my windows down. I have the Rockford Fosgate package in my Titan and it was turned up to medium-loud but anyone who has the R.F. system knows it's not that powerful of a system. Just then a yuppie guy rolls up beside me in a convertable BMW. Of course, he's on his cell phone. He looks over at me like he he's annoyed. Then after about 5 seconds this guy has the nerve to start yelling at me that he can't hear his call and telling me to turn down my stereo! I looked at him, smiled nicely, and turned my stereo up full blast. I then started singing along with the song. The dude lost his mind. He was screaming at me and turning red in the face. I was just chuckling to myself and not giving him any satisfaction of responding to him. I think this made him even more angry. When the light turned green the guy lit up his tires and roared away. I turned left.

Re: Road Rage - It's not just young men anymore...

Someone on here posted once before that they were stuck behind someone at a light who was on the cell phone. When they beeped at her she got out of the car and started screaming at them these words, "can't you see I'm on the phone".
People are wacked these days!

In that case, her and the POS she was driving would still be latched onto my front bumper! Lemme guess.....her rant was preceded by "Oh no you did'nt"!
