? about 2007' TSB for A/C condenser fan .

I was just wondering if this is something that I can just fix or does the dealer have to do it. From what I've seen it looks like the jumper just crossed the wires from their original position . I think it would be cleaner to just cut the flex cover back and cut and cross the wires back there . Then tape it back up . It would look more stock to me . Is this correct or not . I know my fan comes on it just turns the wrong direction. Maybe BBFanz knows.

I'd let the dealer fix it instead of cutting any wires. Should you ever have an issue later you know they would point "the finger" at you. Maybe the miss-wiring is in the fan not the wires. If there was a failure in the future a tech would not get a correct reading with a test meter if your switched them.

If the jumper just swaps position of the wires then just swap the wires in the connector. It looks like its just a two wire connector. The connector is not that hard to take apart. After you take the lock off of the back, you devise a terminal pick to pick the terminal locks and remove the wires and swap them. Make sure you put the other lock back on the back of the plug. It keeps the wire seals and terminals from backing out. But if it is under warranty let the dealer do it. It might save you from future problems if someone has to go into it and no one remembers anything about it.

Yah I just got back from the dealer . I stopped to ask about it . They said they don't have the parts in stock yet to fix it. I asked about doing it myself but the TSB says to replace the fan also. Plus they said Nissan wants it on record that it has been done. Thanks to everyone though .

Re: ? about 2007' TSB for A/C condenser fan .

Just had mine done today. First the service writer said to hold on to the TSB and if I had trouble to bring it back in. After the service we were talking about what I had read here and he decided to check the system and I came back as needing it. He said Nissan put out that if the truck has <100 miles to replace the cable but if >100 miles to replace the cable and condenser fan unit. He also said there are two types of fan units, one is narrower than the other and slides out easily and the other requires a little more dismanteling to exchange. FME across the forehead here. Almost two hours but it is done.

Yah I made an appointment for Wednesday . They told me it would take three hours. I was wondering if I should do the timing advance at the same time . But it'll be like a hundred bucks for them to do it . Maybe I can get it done from someone in my area for a lot cheaper.
