Blacked out Tail lights. Any advice??

I have a black titan and would like to black out my tail lights. I want them completely black. What is the best way to achieve this.. I keep getting so many different answers from all the car "experts" at my work.. Tint,smoke...??

if i have them tinted can a regular "window tint" place also tint my tail lights? do they use the same tint for tail lights?

You may have to ask the tint place. The easiest way would be to get covers. I think these are by AVS:

By the way, that's MOPAR's truck. Several others have blacked out the tails. Search around. They may pop up....

Here's one who tinted with film off eBay. So I'm sure a window tint place could do it.

My brother is an insurance broker and said if you get rear ended because you were busy trying to look cool, not only can you get a ticket the guy who hit you may not be at fault alone. You can be assessed a percentage of fault because you contributed to the wreck.
I've been driving for 32 years and will never understand why somebody would
put themselves at risk to be hit.

Which is why I opted for the Volant Vulite LED tails. I felt the Titan had puny little tails to begin with. The LEDs are MUCH brighter and cover a much larger area. Here in NY, those tinted headlamp and taillamp covers are illegal except for use off road. I thought those were just an 80's thing anyway...lol.

Nightshades tailight smoke is the best stuff. comes in a aerosoul can. spry on as many coats as you want until you reach a darkness you like.

Re: Blacked out Tail lights. Any advice??

I've seen some tails on a Toyota FJ that were sprayed with what Vegas mentions. I have to admit, it looks pretty sharp. It's a completely debadged, blacked out truck, and those tails and his turns being blacked out makes for a clean look. There are a couple here who have done the same with the spray stuff. Search around.

If it were my thing to do blacked out style, I do believe that's the route I'd go. It's still the OEM style/shape and everything that way.
