@jsethmor: I'm flattered that your *first* post was to help me out with my problem! *VERY* impressive for a first response - and good character! - Thank you!
I'm on my way to find some of the above supplies...failing all that, I'm on my way to the detailers then to the store with the detailing receipt (and a Super RedHawk .44)

Your welcome, just sprinkle some of that Bar Keepers friend onto a wet sponge and wet down your windows the put some elbow grease into it, and I gaurantee it will take most if not all of the water spots off your glass. Even if you can't find Turtle Wax Extreme, I think any good cleaner wax will do you some good. If that doesn't remove the spots off the paint, you might want to get someone you trust with a buffer to do a good buffing job.
I had some water spots on my side window too. I don't know how because it hasn't been sprayed by and sprinklers. well I happened to read this thread this morning and was at the store today and saw some Bar keepers friend on the shelf so i picked some up. It took off the spots with a little elbow grease.

I second the Ducky product used on boats and jet ski's, our families wakeboard boat see's plenty of nasty water being in Lake Mead and it tackles the water spots damn well! Good luck with your truck I hope you can find something that works.

Is there something that I'm missing? Maybe a WIRE BRUSH and some 100grit sandpaper?

**UPDATE #3**
Pure 100% Ammonia doesn't work
Baking Soda doesn't work
Brillo Pad doesn't work with *any* of the above
(keep in mind that I'm still talking about the glass...the paint is next - after I find out what removes water spots from glass, and only if it's safe on paint!)

CLR (CALCIUM LIME RUST) works all the time. Dilute it down w/water.Test it till u find the right consentration.
I used to own a Detail shop...BE CAREFUL WITH ABRASIVES on your paint...Try a clay bar with soapy water first. Most of the time it is the mineral deposit that is left over after the water evaporates. DON'T START USING CLEANER WAXES AND CoMPOUNDS....you'll #$%@ up your finish....go to a detailer.....Thay may have to buff em out...just make sure they finish up with a foam pad....twice!...good luck and let us know what works.
hey skyboi do you know of a place online to order foam pads for a buffer? I think the one I have is 8" and it takes velcro pads. I have one for the buffing compound but i need a pad for polishing.

Just remember that foam pads generate quite a lot of heat from friction when you put presure on them... Especially on corners...watch you don't burn an edge....Run lower rpms on your machine...and don't ride the same spot...keep it moving...Also, masking tape off anything that is plastic or black, makes clean up easier. The "waffle type pads run a little cooler but are a little hard to get used to. This is not for the first timer...practice makes gloss. I suggest that you find your local detailer and ask where he gets his pads. they'll tell you....good luck and remember there's no such thing as swirl free...Anytime you touch paint with a machine, you'll have swirl...you have to move the pad with the swirl to pull it up towards the edge to minimize it. Lengthwise on the quarters and sides...front to windshield on the hood & roof. then keep it waxed. good luckTitanmike !!!!
The Bar Keeper's Friend worked wonders on the glass...THANK YOU TO SETH!!!
As for the hard-water spots, I ended up going to a detailer and just had them take care of it - I went over my entire truck no less than 9 times by hand in 2 f'ing days, and I wasn't going to do it again!
They did get out some of the swirl marks that the previous owner had in the hood (my truck was the Dealership Manager's personal ride, and when she saw her 'boys' weren't going to get me into what I wanted, she sold me hers with 3017 miles on it!!! And, for exactly the $/month that I wanted! - But, in the time she and her husband owned the truck, he probably used a dirty buffer wheel, cause there were *lots* of swirl marks on the hood.)
I wasn't able to hang out while the detailers worked on my truck, so I don't know what they used and didn't have time to ask...all I know is that's the best $120 I've spent on a vehicle in a *very* long time! (they shampooed all the interior, q-tippped the vents and *every* nook and cranny, detailed my engine compartment...Hell, everything that a person can reach or touch with the proper equipment got detailed - all for $120!!! - They've got my business from now on!)
So, sorry guys, I don't have any good info for you all on what worked on the paint...take it to a good detailer - I know I was impressed!!!

sometimes a heat gun may help. sometimes the water will evaporate from under the clear coat. i used to work at a nissan dealership, and have had many different issues with paint. whatever you guys do...don't let bird **** stay on your paint, once the acid burns in, you're damn near f*cked.
Be careful letting other people buff your paint, you only have so much clear coat and they will buff it off like it's free.

Word to what Papa D said and I'll have whatever d-von is smoking.....No such thing as getting water under the clear coat...unless there was an opening for it to get there or you're spraying them wet.....and if that was the case, the clear would not adhere and flake off....if you hit it with a presure washer, it would blow off like cornflakes....funniest one I've heard on this forum....water under the clearcoat.....HA!
I do agree on the bird droppings though....let's be nice.......water under the clearcoat......hehehehe
