Big Tow Mirror - Whistle?

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem. I just bought a new 07 titan with the BT mirrors. It seems that when I drive the drivers side mirror whistles. It sounds like I have the window down a little. Has anyone had this problem. It only happens on the drivers side. I hate it....

I should explain it is more like a air noise with a window down then a whistling sound.

Mine does the same thing. That's a lot of surface area hanging out there in the breeze. I just turn the radio up- doesn't annoy me too much. Seems to be less when the mirrors are extended for towing. I really like the bottom mirror- so to me I tolerate it for the benefits the mirrors give.

You want wind noise- come drive my wife's windstar- sounds like a small plane!@!

Mine does same thing. The non BT truck I test drove didn't whistle so I figured it was the big ugly mirror. :-) I basically bought truck to tow a boat though so I love 'em.

Pretty sure it's not the mirrors. I'm going to guess it's either the TB or the intake opening in your fender. But if you don't like those BT mirrors I'd be happy to take them off your hands

I had this same thing happening on mine along with a rattle. I took it for the rattle and they tightened something up in the door. Now both are gone.

I've got the BT package on my truck and I don't notice any whistling. Zero.

I'd check to make sure everything's bolted down properly (especially things you had to remove yourself to install other things).

I have the same issue... went to the dealer twice for it already. First time they said it was the door seal (I don't know why) and this second time it is "normal turbulence". It doesn't sound normal to me.

I noticed it on my '08 it's just weighing the pros and cons with the big mirros mine only does it above 67 MPH

I have an 06' CC with BT. No noise from mine. Is your crew or extended cab?

Mine is Crew. I dunno what to think now, everything I have asked the dealer so far has been "normal". (poor AC, tow button does basically nothing, poor e-brake). I expect he will say same about whistle.

If your tow button isn't doing anything, it's because you're not towing anything heavy enough to need it. It holds 1st and 2nd for less hunting on hills under load.
As for the original post about the whistle, I've not noticed it but try driving until you hear the whistle, then fully extend the mirror while driving (assuming it is the drivers side). I'd imaging something would have to change soundwise if it is the mirror. If not, then it's something else.

I noticed when I was driving it home the same day. It happens pretty much over 20 mph. It's like I'm driving with the windo 1/4" open. I'm going to try tinkering with it before I have them look at it.
