Tires

This Question may seem stupid, but i was wondering that.......When you buy tires and they say like 285/40/18. I know 18 is rim but how do you tell what the total diameter of the tire is. Like if they are 33s or 35s or whatever. Ha thanks and please no laughing....

It's going to vary based on several factors. Here's a calculator that provides a reasonable answer, but the manufacturer's data may differ slightly.
