My steering rack is leaking..........

It seems to be leaking from where the arm from the steering wheel connects into the rack.

Is this covered in the 60K warranty?

I'm so broke right now!

Re: My steering rack is leaking..........

It's not part of the drive train. Possibly just needs a new seal. Good luck.

Anybody have or know where I can find a diagram including the components of the steering rack?

Re: My steering rack is leaking..........

Is there a seal that goes from the lower shaft into the steering gear?

Re: My steering rack is leaking..........

I have a 2004 SE CC 4x4. The left side of the rack started leaking. There is no repair for it only replacement. Truck has 47000 miles. Very disappointed in a part like this not lasting longer or being covered by the warranty. Still waiting on the dealer to call me back with the price I will have to pay to get my truck fixed.
