Need Help ASAP

Hey everyone,

I am posting on behalf of my brother and his friend who are stuck in a sticky situation... They are stuck in the Port of Miami without keys to my brother's titan. They went on a cruise and lost their keys and customs will not let anyone back on the boat. Both guys are air force and have work tomorrow morning so sending down a spare set from home (Delaware) is out of the question. He has used the coat hanger trick to get in the vehicle but now has no way to start it up. So my question, does anyone know how to start the car without a key. From being on an audi and now xterra forums I know people don't like to post these types of things just because you never know what type of people may be watching. With that in mind could someone, if they have any info, please shoot me a PM or an email.

call a locksmith...there are a lot of them who can do that kinda stuff just ask first...Goodluck

looks to me like someone's gonna have to stay a few days w their truck.
either have the spare (assuming they have some) Fed X'd to them, or they'll have to get it towed to wherever.

why cant a crew member escort them back in to look for their keys? especially if they have US Armed forces ID?

Is there anyway they can head over to a local dealer and have one cut using VIN number?

Never mind today is Sunday and the service dept. probably close.

Call local locksmiths and ask them if they make transponder keys for Nissans. Find one that does, and have them go take care of it. They will have to program new keys to the truck, and the old keys won't work any more. They can be programmed back in later. Good luck to them!!!

the dealer needs to reprogram the keys from what i know. you can bring them a blank key to work on

the locksmith can unlock the truck but i am not sure they will hotwire it.....

Yeah, he stole 5 Titans that night with the help of a locksmith.

just have him go to a local dealer with the VIN # and show them his drivers license and they can make a key for him. It probably cost anywhere from 5 to 10 bucks each. They ask for the license for proof of ownership. I had this happen once to me before.

Well, that will get him IN the truck, but unless it's an XE King Cab, he won't be driving away! And why pay the dealer to program the keys, when a locksmith can do it so much cheaper!? No hot wiring transponder equipped vehicles... Hence car jackings are up.

Holy Hanna... You asked how to steal a Titan on a public forum... Those were the best(non death threat) posts I have ever seen for this type of request.

key costs 70-100$ depending on dealer. the key itself retails for like 40, the rest is their "labor"

buy your own key for 5$ and have them reprogram it. you save half or more.
