Exhaust question

Hello,
Just purchased my first Titan a "2004". I retired my F-250 for a real truck:-)
Here is my question... I am being told that the OEM exhaust life span is short due to the temperature that the engine runs at??? Is this true? I am a want to be gear head and can find my way around but this is the first I ever heard of this issue. My Titan will be used for a daily driver and to tow my 24' car trailer with my 04 cobra to shows and the track. Thanks in advance for any advice

Re: Exhaust question

First of all, welcome to T.T.

I also have an '04, and this is the first I've heard of that one. I've swapped the muffler out, but I'm still using the stock pipes and have had no issues... I'm sure someone with more knowledge of such things will chime in, but sounds like snake oil to me...

Re: Exhaust question

These exhaust do have a short life. They tend to rust at the muffler. Just a good excuse to get a real good zoomers exhaust!

Re: Exhaust question

Thanks, this is my first venture into the Japanese car market. The truck is a beauty... And drives much better then the F-250 that I am sending off to pasture. I think I will just replace the exhaust to be safe. Thanks again
