Trip to Ohio...

I"ve been invited to eastern Ohio to have a guy look at and help work on the rifle I developed (He has testing equiptment few places have). My gal is going with me. Question is, after working in his shop during the day, does anyone know what the "Must see's and Must do's" in the area are? We'll be 40 min. from Pittsburg, PA. Also, I will be working all day on my rifle, she could use something to do...

I'm not sure if she is into wine at all, but hitting some of the local wineries is always cool for the ladies. I'm not too familiar with the area, but I'll do some homework if she is into it.

its Pittsburgh (don't forget the 'H'). What are you interested in doing/seeing? There is a lot to do in that area.

Re: Trip to Ohio...

Just stop somewhere and get you a Michigan hat and shirt. The locals will be sooooo happy to help you.

Hey....so are you getting closer with your gun platform? What kind of tests are you performing?

Penetration tests, pressure tests, reliability tests, etc...
I had a BLAST with him! He is a very personal guy! He showed me a 2 inch steel plate that he blow a hole thru with a pistol! He helped me a great deal in getting my gun up and running. He show my proto-type 40-50 times and said he liked it a lot! He said it was without a doubt the most powerful semi-auto AR-15 he has ever seen or heard of! He gave me an assortment of new bullets to try out. Ones that are not on your local store shelves. With any luck, if I can get my butt in gear, you may see my gun on his web-site before long available for sale. On the down side.... I have to get a new scope... The Nikon I had on it finally let go (it did last around 600 rounds)! I need to call them sometime soon and get it replaced!
We went to some places of interest while there, but none too far from town. On the way home we stopped in Dayton at the Air Force museum, and then to Troy to visit my Aunt and Uncle. Then finally home.

Re: Trip to Ohio...

Well a MUST if you don't mind driving a couple hours tops, head to Cedar Point. Simply the best amusement park on the planet.
