Gas Warning Light

Does anyone know how many gallons are left, or how many miles left when the gas warning light comes on. No info found in owners manual.

Re: Gas Warning Light

It depends on the truck, but most are about 3-6 gallons left.

Re: Gas Warning Light

Sorry, I meant that the gas guages are not all exactly calibrated. From what I've read there is some variation from truck to truck. It's best not to let it get that low anyway, I alway keep mine above a quarter tank.

I ran mine down after a long trip the other day. The trip comp said I had 25 miles left but when I filled up it was only 24 gallons. I've got a '08.

Re: Gas Warning Light

hehe, been there too.

i have allowed my light to go on a few times, and even let it "hit" the line, but ive never been able to put more than 23 gallons in when the light goes on. so i guess it still has about 3 or 4 gallons left in the tank, which supposeably is a 26 gallon tank on my 05.

either way, at 13mpg, i get gas real quick when i let it go that low, which is usually about $70 per fill up...
