Not yet (fingers crossed), knock on wood too... The worst part is the clean up! You wouldn't believe where mud ends up!

yes! and it's a 5-speed... we basically run it on atv trails which are old logging trails cut into a mountain. so far it's handled everything we've put it through. i think this year it should get an electric fuel pump and tune up and should run pretty sweet. she's been neglected lately though due to the purchase of a mid-80's blazer that runs much better and takes more people into the woods... but i still love the brat. unfortunately it's 3 hours from home so working on it is kinda tough... and when i get up there i just want to play.

the guy that originally did the work built it to do hill climbs.. wasn't really cut out for that line of work so he put up a 4-sale sign.

Re: Flooded Roads = Happy Titan Owner

The roads flooded again today. I was picking up a friend from her apartment complex and the water was lapping against the bottom of my step rails. (while I was stopped I cracked the door open to look), but when someone else would pass me I could hear the wave wash over the bottom of my doors. No water came in, though that was getting a bit touchy for me.

We've had an absolutely ridiculous amount of rain.

Re: Flooded Roads = Happy Titan Owner

Not long ago we got hit by a fairly large storm. You may have heard of it. It’s been on the news once or twice. It was named Katrina. The major news organizations would have you believe that only New Orleans was affected but the damage in Mississippi was much worse and lower Alabama was hit every bit as hard as N.O. I’ve attached a small picture of what our downtown area looked like.

My wife is a director for the biggest local hospital and she is required to be there during hurricanes as part of their disaster response team. I drove her to work during the worst part of the storm in my old Chevy truck. The roads were flooded. I saw a Honda Accord on a side road with water up to the windows. The driver was climbing out of the sun roof. I’ll never understand why he didn’t just open the door and get out. The car was full of water and already ruined. Luckily it’s flat as a pancake around here. Even in the worst storms nothing gets washed away by raging currents. It just gets ruined.

Anyway, my Chevy did great. It was ten years old and I don’t think I was ever happier to own a truck. I dropped my wife off and headed home to look after the rest of the family. The flooding was worse on my trip back home. I drove through water that was so deep it was up to the bottom of the instrument panel. My butt was soaked and the splashing ruined the radio. The truck got me home but during the night it got hit by a fence, a tree, and parts of my roof. It was totaled. By the time my wife got off work the flooding was over and I was able to drive her car down to get her.

Well, to make a long story short, insurance paid for my truck and I bought the Titan I had wanted for some time. Thank God I haven’t had to test the Titan like I did the Chevy.

As a footnote I bought the Chevy back from the insurance company. My son & I worked on it for about six months during our spare time. He’s 17 now and the Chevy is his. It still gives us some problems related to the storm but it’s hard to give up a truck like that.

Re: Flooded Roads = Happy Titan Owner

I have lots of pic of N.O under water and some of the dead. I was there flying SAR. Yes Mississippi did get the worst of it. I flew over Gulfport and Boluxi, nothing left of it-leveled

Yea they got hit about the same imo. I worked in St Bernard down in new orleans and in biloxi after the storm. Both were ugly sites...
