I have to say I’m dubious about my forthcoming comment, BUT, I’m starting to believe in either a Tonneau cover or the power of a K&N air filter…. Since I’ve owned my titan I’ve always gotten around 15 MPG per tank, I’m not a heavy right footed guy but I’ll give it the beans every once in a while…. Always getting 15 mpg sometimes 15.2
On Sunday I installed an Extang Trifecta Tonnaeu Cover and a K&N Air filter… for the past 3 days I’ve been getting 16.5 miles per gallon (call me crazy) but I’m starting to believe that one of the aforementioned modifications is giving an “as advertised” 10% better fuel mileage…… (Maybe 5% each who knows?)
However I’m not completely convinced; I could be coasting a little more in the hope that I get better fuel mileage, who knows, I will have better info within the next 2 weeks of repetitive driving

I noticed an increase from exhaust and K&N, after I got over "the sound". LOL
They do help. Tonneau is on the wish list.

What's Up?
New to the forum, I just bought a '04 Titan CC, and I sure as hell didn't buy it for gas mileage. This Truck Rocks! I can't keep my foot off the floor! I am planning on making a few mods (CAI, throttle body spacers, some exterior) but I love it as is.
My old vehicle was a Ford Taurus (got it for nil) and I wanted either a Tundra or Tita. Have been very happy with the Titan so far. The only downside is that the brakes suck, and of course the mileage. But like I said before, I didn't get it because I am a penny-pincher!
If you worry too much about saving 5 miles a gallon you'll wear yourself out. It just doesn't make a difference in the long run. My gas mileage is so bad with my setup if I pay attention to it I'd just get depressed about it lol.

thats funny I just traded in my ford taurus for an 04 titan 4x4 it had 121000 miles and blew a head gasket sky high out of the blue. I love my titan and I have been getting 16.8-17.8 depending on distance I am traveling. I know that alot of people have been complaining about mileage but remember it is a 300+ hp truck. I can't complain about mileage I was only gettin 22mpg out of my taurus and my titan is alot more fun. The only thing is radio reception is crappy on it. (quality of sound)
