So I ended up locking my keys inside my running truck last night. I have a aftermarket remote start for my Titan and when the brake pedal is pushed the doors lock. I jumped into the truck, pressed the brake and jumped back out for something and shut the door not thinking about all 4 doors being locked. so there I was looking from the outside in at my keys in the ignition....
SO anyway, once the 'breaking' guy showed up it took him about 30 min to get in...the whole time complaining how imports are so hard to do. I asked him why anyone would want a vehicle that was easy to break in to...he said so his job was easier. He barely got into my truck...had to go under the window and back into interior with a wire to press a window button down so I could get in again.
Lesson learned: 1) Hide a spare key somewhere so when my brain shuts of I can get back into my truck
2) No one is going to just walk up and quickly steal a titan...unless the have pateince and about 30 min

Ha. Yea i had a similar experience. Got to work one morning and was on the phone, not thinking, and left my keys sitting in my seat and closed the door.. Locked out. Dammit. So $65 dollars and 45 minutes later i was back in the beast. The locksmith also said that our trucks were pretty rough gettn in too..
I thought with our keys in the ignition, it was impossible to lock ourselves out?

You need to find a better locksmith AAA was in mine in 2min after he arrived. Put an inflatable pad in between the window frame and the body of the truck pumped it up and with a rod that was already bent hit the unlock button and it was done.....

getting into locked cars is always a fishing game. With the right tools it is easier we use a "big easy" and that really works wonders but it still is a fishing game. for guys that do this every day they do it alot faster. I only get involved in this stuff when a kid is locked in a car mostly.

Pro's don't break in anymore. They just hook your ride up to a flatbed and drive away.

It's crazy how they do these things now. They could just pickup a random car, (steal it) and drive off like they repossesed it and cops and witnesses none the wiser until it's reported stolen.

Exactly! Your neighbors probably wouldn't even think twice about why the tow truck is at your house. That's how they stole my co-workers Chevy HD.

I had a spare key in my wallet, but guess who was sitting next to my keys...MY FREAKIN WALLET!! Well a quick call to AAA and they had it opened in less than 2 mins. It's times like those that you're glad you've got AAA.
