I have read other comments on this site regarding brake dust and how it improved for owners of '04/'05 Titans who had the brake recall performed. Well, I recently purchased a 2006 Titan CC and have already noticed the brake dust on the front rims to be terrible----by far the worst brake dust I have seen on any vehicle I have ever owned. I was at the dealer today and questioned them about this and he said he did not have a good answer other than this happens. His 2 suggestions were to replace them at sometime with ceramic pads and to polish the rims good to make the cleaning easier. Any other thoughts/suggestions?
That's about it.. change the pads and treat the wheels so it doesn't stick to them as much.

The 06's shouldn't be to bad with brake dust, they fixed the problem half way through 05. My 05 had terrible brake dust when I first got it, but after the fix I only notice a small buildup if I don't wash the truck for a month or so. , before you could wash the wheels every day.

I thought the 06's came with ceramic pads. Maybe the former owner did a brake job and put cheap pads on it.

The factory puts semi-metallic pads on the truck. At least in '06 they did. At least on mine they did, and I wouldn't think mine would be different from anyone else's.....
Mine had lots of brake dust. Ceramic is the way to go.
I replaced mine with stock pads recently and the dust is just as bad.
I will be getting ceramics soon......

The ceramics on mine are Akebono. They still dust. It's not as dark as the s-t dust, so it's less noticable. But it's still there, and only on the front wheels. Rears are still the factory s-t pads and like new.
