Holds up great in a wreck! (06, SE)

If you have been wondering how well a Titan does in a wreck, I would like to share a bit with you. I was pulling out from a stop light when Lincoln Town Car (NOT a small vehicle) made an illegal lane change and hit my right front. (Yeah, she got a ticket.) I had about $600 in damage, but the Town Car was severely smashed! That big Titan wheel/ tire did them in. The Titan barely flinched, but the Town Car was bounced all over the road.

I pitty the Neon or Ion that hits me!

I feel very safe in my Titan!

Peace to all!

I was hit head on while sitting still, in my 06. The other car was an 08 accord, doing about 50mph. Its now totaled, my damage was about 10 grand. I am glad to be alive and the truck is amazingly strong. I just bought an 08 CC.

I had my 08 for less than a week before I got rear ended by an 07 honda civic. i got a small dent in the bumper and a few scratches under the bumper, total cost to replace under 300 bucks. The honda on the other hand is not so lucky. Needs a new hood, headlight, bumper, radiator support, radiator, frame straightening, driver side fender and tire... lesson learned when in a pinch just use your girlfriend's Civic to lift up the Titan for easy tire chages

Re: Holds up great in a wreck! (06, SE)

My 04 bumper (note correct spelling - there is no "B" in the middle) held up real well when some kid in a Camaro came speeding through a parking lot as I was backing out of my spot. He said he was in a hurry and hit his horn to try to get me to stop so he could keep speeding instead of stopping.

His bumper, hood and everything in between and underneath went right under my bumper and stopped at the spare tire. I was going all of 5 mph and he claims he was only doing 20.

The cop who responded - he called them, not me - said due to the distance he traveled under my truck, he had to be going 40. This was through a parking lot! Kid got a 1/2 dozen tickets and the cop and I got a real laugh when his father showed up to drive him home - the car had to be towed due to the damage. I figure that the hitch did most of the damage to his car.

Total damage to my bumper was a scratch and a little adjustment to realign it. His car probably cost him an entire new front end along with the cost of the tickets and his father's punishment. Wish I could have been there to see that.
