Keep my white 04 SE or go for an 08 PRO4X? HELP! - Page 5

I picked her up today and she's a beaut! I was only able to snap a few pics while in the garage but I'll get more. I put them in the picture gallery becasue I have NO idea how to put them in the thread.

So far, here's what I've noticed between my 04 to the 08. The new brakes are nothing short of amazing. No mushy, spongy feel at all. The interior materials are even better than I thought....much better quality and craftsmanship. The engine is more silky smooth with no lifter or fuel injector sounds at all. I haven't opened her up yet so I can't speak about the power over the 04 but it's more responsive to throttle inputs and steering seems tighter.
The ride with the LWB is a bit smoother but not by an "oh my god" amount. The RF system, although still beat by the BOSE in the wifes Quest, is a giant leap up from the non RF I had in my 04. Love the XM and the bluetooth is just so damn cool!
So so far I'm extremely happy with my decision and will keep up on any changes/findings etc.
I'd like to again thank MuskyHunter for finding the truck out on the island.

I went to the Nissan site and built your truck, then expanded the search to over 100 miles. I've been pondering taking advantage of the current rebates, but i'll loose my shirt. I figure that I will be doing a big brake and front swaybar upgrade, and a mild front end lift with some new Radflo's and DR's in the rear.

To post pics, reply to the thread, then before submitting scroll down the page. Click on "manage attachments." In the attachment manager window, browse to the picture you want to upload (keep ipicture size under 1024x768 for easier view) and then click the upload button. Repeat for additional images and click "Submit Reply" when you are finished.

Way to go HVT! I'm glad you held out for the truck you wanted. I'm seeing more and more '08 Titans and Armadas every day in my area. The Pro4X LWB in white is a good looker!

I say go for it... I went from an 05 SE CC to an 08 SE CC 4wd and love it. it is much more sound of a truck and you will be happy with the decision. if you dont like the front end and back bumper, I am sure you can find anyone on here that will trade with you because there are a lot of people who want the matching look. I traded the my white for galaxy black and that is the only thing I regret (a little) but I am soo happy with my new truck! I know you will too.

I really liked the OR wheels I had. But I like these even better. At least these wheels will be a little more exclusive in that they can only be had on the PRO-4X. I'm know my dealer would have had no problem swapping out the wheels if I wanted them. I'm quite happy with the new truck...and the wheels.

Thanks...yeah the white really seems to pop out atcha! And ...lol...I just this morning realized the engine looks different too. The black plastic cover is different than the 04s and I forghot but...I now have Nissans VVT. I wonder if that has anything to do with the smoother sound and feel of the engine.
No idea but...I'm lovin' this new Christmas present to me!

Another thing I noticed. The 08 brochure claims rear vented disc brakes on all models. They're actually a solid disc, not vented.

Did Nissan change anything on the front diffs, regarding the c clip on the stub shaft from the '04s? Or do most guys sell their Titans when the power train warranty is about up? I'm still considering a Titan, but all of these problems, rear diffs, axle seal, front stub shafts c clip, are a bit much.

For 2007 and up, those problems were siad to have been rectified.
