If I didn't already have one, I'd grab one while I could. Mine will never be on the market. Although if this rumor becomes reality, short term the resale might tank, but since many of us plan to keep ours forever, for us it doesn't matter, and I think long term the value will go back up ... supply vs. demand.
Also, I believe that I read somewhere, that an automobile manufacturer must produce parts for repairing the vehicle for 15 years, after the particular model year. And many parts can be replaced with custom fabricated, or existing aftermarket parts.
The engine and transmission are the only major concerns, but in 2019 I might be willing to drop a 6 cylinder diesel retrofit into the guzzler anyway.
My suggestion is get a new CEO and keep the Titan.
They can stop making parts anytime they want. There is no law that says they have to make the parts for so many years.

In this weeks Automotive News (autonews.com), there's an article that sez Nissan is still looking for a Diesel engine for the Titan.
In another article, there's references to a Nissan/Chrysler alliance.
If Nissan is still looking for a diesel for the Titan, and is contemplating an alliance with Chrysler, what's all this bullspit about the Titan being cancelled?

I can honestly say that I see just as many Titan's as I do Tundra's in OKC. Actually, I see more Titan's than I do Tundra's which kind of surprised me with the number comparisons and all.
So, if the Titan goes, what happens to the Armada? I have a vested interest in knowing because I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Armada for the wife and if it's going bye-bye, then I need to say hello to the Toyota Sequoia. The 08 looks interesting but $$$$!
Have you seen the new Sequoia yet? I saw one at the mall last Sunday and did a double take. It may be one of the most hideous looking SUV's I have ever seen. The front looks similar to a Tundra and the back...well, the back looks like a melted jelly bean. The profile makes the truck look not much bigger than the 4Runner because there is so much drooping going on.
They look much more "melted" and "smaller" in person than the pictures on the website make them appear.
I would have to go back to ford. No way I would want a toyota.
Only if it is a 3/4 ton would I do this. No way I'd buy a new 1/2t Ford. MAYBE a Chevy/GMC but not not another Ford (even though I've had probs with both). If Titan is gone, my next new truck will probably be a Tacoma or a 3/4 ton. Doubtful on the Tundra. Had good luck with 2 older Toyota Tacomas. Except lil' bro totaled one.

If the Titan was not available and I had to get another vehicle, I would probably go with either with a used H2 or a new H3 Alpha. If I had to go with a truck I may look at the Tundras, but doubt that I would get one due to low bang for the buck. I would probably get a GMC Sierria.
I found a great 04 for 17,995. The dealer just called me back and said they will go for 15,995 if I up my downpayment by 300.00? That did not make sense -- but something I might reconsider.
Great picture on the snow! I think the values will hold fine if Nissan did cut the Titan loose. It is probably just rumor, but with gas prices, I suppose they are needing to reconsider?
..I checked with a local dealer in Daly City Calif. and they have no knowlage of this and are still ordering/selling Titans. Regional Nissan reps are advising there are no plans to kill the Titan. Pleas check your local dealers and see if there is similar denial of such plans.
It doesnt matter what the dealers say/know. If corporate decides to pull it, it is going.
Speaking of toyota, i was looking at the new land cruiser. what have they done to the interior?! looks like an xterra. all plasticky.. all this for 70 grand.
