Man there is no way I would ever consider buying anything even remotely connected to a Dodge or anything else Chrysler has to offer.. I love my Titian and would not know where to go from here. I hope this is only a rumor and never happens.
While I can't say I am happy about this turn of events, I predicted this on this board about 6 months ago.
I couldn't see how Nissan could keep the Titan in production with declining sales, huge warranty claims, increased competition, MSRP price increases twice in a few months.
Skyhammer please go back to your tundra forums and continue bashing the titan there getting real sick of ya over here. Just go over to tundrasolutions and see what this guy writes you would think the freakin titans everyone of them blow up the second they get on pavement.

Alot of people are mentioning brand loyalty. I believe it goes both ways. This is my first Titan, been a die hard Ford guy for years. They have just priced themselves out of my reach, so I tried something new. So far I feel I have made a great choice. However, it seems like Nissan has some serious issues with quality at times, and they pretend they have no idea that rear ends break. They half *** market a vehicle, then consider pulling it when the sales are not that great. I read the post here and I see alot of die hard loyal buyers. Where is Nissan's loyalty to its customers?
My grandad use to say, "Screw my once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me."
You screw over your customers, and your market shares will decline.

lame... we should right NISSAN a letter and tell them how not stoked we are on the frenchy's comment.. also tell them that we dont want RAMTIT's.. he he
I just don't get it. By and large, Nissans are some of the best looking and most innovative vehicles on the road today. Infiniti is right there as well, I'll take them in the looks department any day over Lexus or Acura. Nissan/Infiniti quality or reliability doesn't seem any more off par than the other makes. Nissan is constantly putting out good performance numbers. Is it all marketing to blame? I think it's partially due to people hung up on which brands do what well. For a full-sise truck, it's gotta be a big three, for a mini it's gotta be a Tacoma, compact cars go to Honda, luxury has to be German, etc etc. People are very unwilling to step out of the norm and try something new. Honestly, Nissan could have built the world's most perfect pickup, with no maintenance/reliability issues at all, and I seriously doubt Titan sales would be that much better (and still nowhere near the domestics.)

I think HudsonValleyTitan hit the nail on the head about lack of stand alone options. It is crazy to have to buy some options you don't want nor need just to get the one(s) you do. In my opinion, this is just a way to increase price of the vehicle. Prime example, about 3-4 months ago my father wanted to trade his 06 truck for a 08 titan. He wanted 4x4 le, white with almond interior. He did not want the tow package however. The dealer looked and looked for exactly what he wanted and could not find one available. They had already agreed on the price, all they had to do was find one he wanted and it was a done deal. But they couldn't find it. Now they can find a 8.5 model, but with a steeper price that he is not willing to pay. So by them not having what he wanted, Nissan lost a sale
Nissan's marketing scheme on the Titan sucks. If I hadn't previously owned a Nissan 350Z and loved it, I would have never even looked at the Titan, unfortunately
Guess my 04 will be a collector's editon! Man I hate to even hear talk like this, guess we're starting to know how the Oldsmobile folks felt.
Was seriously thinking about updating but this actually gives me some pause. Not that resale is great for any truck right now but this is surely not positive.
