They are NOT terribly concerned with keeping current customers. Nissan lost me for good over a $246 seal replacement they would not complete under warranty, @ 59,900 nmiles. They swayed my decision of a mid-sized truck to a Honda. I was seriously considering a Frontier until this incident.
I suspect most people can copy/paste but attached are Word docs of the postings from anmut and AgTitan.
I will send mine out tomorrow and I mention that I recommend it from others, its a great value proposition relative to other half tons and something nice about my dealer.
They care about repeat customers as well as new ones. They don't want to lose current owners to the big three when replacement time comes.

Actually, Nissan is saying they are fine with losing those customers. By discontinuing the Titan, they are ok with losing the full size truck market business.
They are betting the full-size truck will continue to decline and become an even tougher area to compete in. I think it is tough for the Titan to compete with the new Tundra for those looking to buy a 'foreign' truck.
Given their small market share in a (in their mind...and probably mine to) shrinking market, they feel their projected future sales won't turn a profit. The money, in their mind, is in fuel efficient vehicles.
As a shareholder, I would be pleased with the decision. As a titan owner...not so much.

As a share holder, I'd like to find out why there have been costly warranty issues that quality control should have keep from happening. Something else...people don't want to buy vehicles that will be discontinued at the drop of a hat. That's how you lose customer base for future vehicles.

I doubt that "form letters" from current owners will do much to sway their opinion if they are seriously considering killing off the Titan. Nissan is a company confronting enormous profitability issues and any vehicle that isn't contributing favorably to the bottom line is probably on the chopping block. You can't lose money on every vehicle but make it up in volume, as the old addage goes. I do love my truck, but if I owned the company, I'd probably be considering the same actions. If it was YOUR company and you were losing money the way Nissan is, I suspect you would, too.

Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

We could all drive to Canton, OH and form a picket line around the building or something. We would surely get on the news, then the titan would have some free advertising! hehe
Carlos only cares about profits.... So tell him you will look elsewhere for all your future vehicle purchases..

Sorry but letters from current owners won't sway their opinion one bit.
They are looking at profitability... not owner satisfaction.
That's one opinion...

The point of your letter should be about the loss of sales from you and your family and friends..
Something to the effect of:
When I replace my '05 Titan Next Year, I would love to be able to look at an '09 - 10 Titan (An HD long bed would be a bonus) and a 2015 to replace that.
I would also like to replace my '01 Pathfinder with a Murano, but with the posibility of Nissan dropping the Titan. I might have to look at what Toyota (since they seem to want to build vehicles I NEED).

That's a good point.I'm sending my letter tomorrow and i did mention the fact my wife and brother in-law want to get Titans as well.
There's been alot of statements that this will avail nil.But remember a closed mouth will never be fed in anything in life so SPEAK UP.
