Installed ScangageII today!!!

I love the thing it was easy to install and that was with the blendmount as well. I am hoping it will save me a little MPG by watching my go fast button more carefully

Re: Installed ScangageII today!!!

Thanks I will try to get some pics up soon. Supposedly linear logic is going to start working on NISSAN codes soon and should have more codes to program into the new Scangage2's... which includes a Transmission temp gage! I will be looking for that one.

A trans temp gauge would be really cool!! I would definately be interested in one of those if they do that! Do post pics of yours though!

Re: Installed ScangageII today!!!

I have been real happy with mine except for one thing. I have yet to be able to pick up a code with it. I had my airbag light flahing once, and I had my slip light acting up once. On both occasions it showed no codes. I also had a airbag light on my wifes quest that it would not pick up. Maybe it doesn't pick up these kinds of codes or something.

Pull a plug wire or leave the gas cap off, that should throw a code.

I think the only thing it doesn't show is the MAP. Everything else works, mph, mpg, volt, throttle position, load on engine, rpm, water temp, plus all the things under current, tank, today, and yesterday. I don't remember the rest right now.

Re: Installed ScangageII today!!!

I wish there was a way to run Cipher and have it displayed on a Nav screen or aftermaket DVD/CD player. Hooking up my laptop and running Cipher isnt as easy and practical as the SC. Interesting.

The blendmount is the bracket holding the unit over the mirror.

Re: Installed ScangageII today!!!

Hey I made the mistake of buying mine without the mount. Now I will have to pay more for the mount than I would have otherwise. I don't see anyplace else to mount it. Any suggestions? How hard is it to run the cable from the rearview mirror around to the port?

Re: Installed ScangageII today!!!

its very easy. the only thing you need to take off is the driver side OS handle
and a pillar plastic. the rest is just a matter of mounting the SG to the blendmount
