I'm sure mine will be one of the better in the parking lot. Getting it actually wasn't even my idea. Our family took our heavily modded Ram 3500 with our camper on it to Colorado and utha to ski. But the first intersection in Steamboat springs, colorado a 1992 chevy cavalier thought she could run a red right in front of us. As you can Imagine 13,000lbs+ VS. 3,800lbs didn't work very well for her. After a long journey home In a rentel F150 we needed a truck to get into the mountains and the titan was the first thing we ran into in the Nissan-dodge dealer. This whole thing worked out pretty well for me.

Re: High schoolin' titans

When I turned 17 (in 1988) my parents co-signed a loan for me on a 1984 Nissan Pulsar - 5 speed standard with no AC in Louisiana (Sweltering in the summer) and I drove that thing my senior year & all through college. When I graduated college I gave it to my little sister in decent shape with 200K miles and she totaled it out in 3 months.

Re: High schoolin' titans

Got mine way back in junior year of high school (~2005). I was the only one in the whole school that had a Titan (student wise), all the ford and chevy guys wanted to race, but i was smarter than that (for safety reasons that is, i knew i could take them!) One of the security guards also had one and he would let me park in the staff parking and look the other way.

We were going 25-30mph and she cut in front of us. She did live with no injuries at all. Her engine compartment also was acting as her lap dog. And apparently it's legal to have an open bottle of wine in the car.

Re: High schoolin' titans

Didn't make much sense to us either. We found when we were looking at her car at the wrecking yard and it was about half empty.

Re: High schoolin' titans

Had a 73 Chevy Cheyenne Super 10 pickup in high school that I paid for myself. Paid it off with my Army bonus money. Fond memories of that old truck...

Re: High schoolin' titans

Geeesh...I was 36 before I felt like I could afford to buy this truck. With the cost of gas now, I'm not so sure (and I make a good living).

11 years ago, I decided to begin investing in retirement funds and college accounts for my children. Therefore, I chose to drive a Hyundai Elantra for 7 years. I paid it off in three years and the gas mileage was excellent.

You youngsters may want to think about how comfortable you'll be in your 60s and 70s vice how cool you are in high school

Just MHO.
