On windy days air gets though the driver side window.
When I'm driving on the HWY and it windy out. I can her air coming in from out side. It makes a high pitched whistling noise. Do any of you guys get this?
It sound likes it comes from around the top of the window. I had my wife sit in the truck while I used a pressure washer around the window and no water comes in.
Do you think the wind deflectors will help? Or are they just used for looks?

Rain visors and Big Tow mirrors = sounds=music
Wind/Rain delflectors/visors increase wind noise. The mirrors have some noise but not as loud as the rain/visors on my Titan. Jeostang...You might hear it but if you don't feel it .....it is NORMAL. AT 50+ mph is a good time to turn the radio/cd up anyway!

I know exactly what you mean. In fact, my door almost opens by itself when it's super windy out. I can push against the top of the door and make the noise worse. I think the door needs to be adjusted or the seals need to be replaced. It's definitely NOT the mirrors. It's not the window either, it's the door itself right up by the A pillar or the top. I have a feeling that my rattle on the driver side door is also affected by this too.
I have noticed quite a bit of wind noise coming from my driver's side window. It gets much worse when windy. This is an issue I'll bring up with the dealer at my first service.
ryno29 is correct, mine does the exact same thing. It's coming from the top of the door. The pressure from the wind somehow is sucking the door outward and causing the door to come away from the seal. It's only did this a few times to me, but the last time it was doing it, it was only from the drivers side door and not the passenger. Not sure if this can be fixed or not. Please let us know if it can, because we'll never be able to get the dealer to duplicate.
I have the same problem. I live in Fontana where it can get very windy during Santa Ana wind season (60+mph winds are not uncommon). On my truck, the wind catches the top rail of the door and actually causes it to pull away from the cab. I will be returning to the dealer to have the radio and window switches fixed (parts are on order) and will bring up the issue then.
Oh yeah, and it has only happened to the driver's door (several times, however).

Sorry to bring back this old thread, but I'm wondering if any of these folks got the wind noise fixed! I'm having the same problem, and it's really starting to get to me. I know it is not the BT mirror because my '04 CC also had the BT mirrors, and it did not have the kind of noise we are talking about. It was actually very quiet in terms of wind noise (but had lots of rattles and ticking noises).
The noise sounds as if it is coming from where the top of the window glass is sandwiched by the rubber gasket, almost right above my ear, but I haven't ruled out the possibility of the leaky door seal...
On my Titan, the noise starts appearing about 40 mph, and it gets really bad when you get on the highway. And yes, it seems worse when the wind is blowing from the passenger side. But of course, the dealership could not duplicate the problem...

Same problem here, wind noise from the top of the driver's door... same diagnosis, "the big tow mirrors" in both the 04 and 05. I also asked why did the noise from "the mirrors" get louder when I pressed on the top of the door. No answer. I asked why, when I slide into the middle of the seat while at speed there is not the same noise from the passenger side "mirror". No answer. I also asked why the noise didn't change at all when the mirrors were folded in at speed. Again, no answer. The did have an answer to "pull the mirrors off, tape over the openings and let's go for a ride"... The answer was "No".
Interesting... When I get off the 101n to the 60w (Phoenix, East Valley) there is this long, sweeping left hand turn ramp. In the middle of the ramp, there is a bump. When I hit that bump as I am in this left hand bend, the driver's door flexes away from the body enough for me to see daylight through the opening. Again, no answer.
