It was an 08 F-150, and an 08.5 Nissan Titan. I didn't make it over the the Dodges.
The one I saw also had a cool extra step under the back bumper to assist getting in the truck bed. Cool idea, and probably cheaper than Fords tail-gate step.

I don't think so. There were 4 Titans that just came off the delivery truck still wrapped in plastic, all with the chrome tailgate piece.

That's not a factory item.

I don't want to argue with you, so why don't you check out the nissanusa.com website. They do in fact list it as a factory option. http://www.nissanusa.com/titan/indiv...-king-cab.html

Sorry, must be new just for 08.5. So new, in fact, that it's not listed as a factory option when you do a BUILD.

Yup. It is. Same chrome piece is on the trucks at 2 of my nearby dealers. Both dealers stated they came that way from Nissan.

Maybe I should get one from Nissan then. The one I ordered from Ebay doesn't fit. Apparently the bib on the 08 tailgate is a little different in size.

Re: Nissan Titan 2008 vs. 2008.5 What is the difference?

I just bought a new 2008.5 cc SE titan and I was told the 2008 to 2008.5 change was mostly for the xe on there big tow package you dont get the pull out mirrors or the gauge for tranny but still get the low gearing. Also xe doesnt have easy drop down tailgate and grille matches now. On the SE the vdc switch on off only comes if u get the side air bag package and fog lights. Which I didnt and wish I did but no big deal. So basicly just option changes. Also I noticed my leafs on the rear are a little beefer.

Mine is an 08.0 and didn't come with the VDC switch and I do not have the fogs or the side air bags. Hmmm..

Right. VDC, for 08, is in the AB package...which you don't have. When I bought my 08, I would have had to get the AB package to get the VDC..which I really didn't want anyhow because I hear it interferes too much even when switched off.

Thanks for pdf file. I read the memo and they kept saying "aftermarket". So the transmission flush that the dealer tried to sell me when I was there last week was "aftermarket" and not recomended by the manufacturer? Thanks

Hey HVT what do you mean by "interferes too much even when switched off" I have the VDC and when it's turned off I don't hear/ feel any restriction or power management kicking in .....

Thanks - J
