Install a 37 gallon tank on the short bed Titan

I was just wondering if anyone tried doing this or if you can possibly do this cause my truck is a pig and I dont like going to the gas station every five minutes. I know you can put a fuel tank toolbox in the bed but I dont want to lose my bed space.

Re: Install a 37 gallon tank on the short bed Titan

You waited a whole 18 minutes to consider this a stumper? Heh heh... you've got a lot to learn....

I don't think the bigger tank will fit because the LWB that it's installed in is 18" longer. That's a whole lot of space to fit a bigger tank into that the SWB just doesn't have... You ever heard of 10 pounds of schit in a 5 pound bag?

After 15 minutes if no one has answered Blackbeauty gets an instant message on his screen that prompts him to reply with the correct answer. His message alert sounds like this.

Re: Install a 37 gallon tank on the short bed Titan

I agree. You're going from 224.6 in length to 244.2. The wheels are also moved back an additional 18.6" in the LWB. I've looked at the tank in my LWB and the way it sits, no...it wouldn't fit in the SWB. Have you looked maybe at an aftermarket tank that might be situated differently? That could be an option for ya.

Just remember, 37 gallon fill ups are expensive! It just seems less when you fill it a little at a time..lol.

Re: Install a 37 gallon tank on the short bed Titan

Changing tanks for an extra 9 gallons of fuel is one of the dumbest ideas I ever saw in the forum. Strap two ten gallon jugs in the bed if you dislike gas stations.
