gas guage question

I have a 2005 LE 4WD and I know that the fuel tank is 28 gallons however the gas guage goes to **** at just 22 gallons. I even had the dealer change out the sensor. Does anyone else have this issue?

Yep, that is pretty standard. It is good to know that you have 6 gallons left when the light comes on. It is also good to know that the gas is used as a coolant on modern fuel pumps, so don't run it too low if you do not have to.

When I am on a highway trip and the light comes on, I know I have at least 60 miles to go (4 gallons at 15 mpg worst case scenario).
