Is a chunk anything like muffler bearings?

Re: help chunk went out

Maybe it's some accessory powered by the flux capacitor?

Re: help chunk went out

It is right next to the canooter valve. It is located in the back left section of the engine bay and responsible for monitoring your ethanol/alcohol mix. When the chunk goes, the canooter valve opens. You can tell it happened because the you'll open the hood and see that it has sprayed chunks everywhere. Good luck finding a salvaged one. It might have to do with what type of fuel you are using. A nice glass of milk and two Tums or Prevacid always seem to help. Stay away from the everclear.

Re: help chunk went out

You guys have it all wrong, do you know ANYTHING?

The chunk keeps the blinker fluid circulating, if the chunk goes the blinker fluid runs out, you will see it as the bright orange fluid on the ground. You then have to replace the chunk and then refill the blinker fluid, (according to my dealer it runs about $100 an ounce). So pray it does not happen to you. It happened last week to me, but it was covered under warranty...WHEW

Geez, guys read your owners manual!

Re: help chunk went out

No, No, No.. the chunk is right next to the Pfetzer valve. You can fix it yourself with some replacement ball bearings and 4 quarts of Prestone. No, make that Quakerstate. (that will be funny to anyone whose ever seen 'Fletch')

Actually that's what they called it when i lived in Louisiana. I never heard of a pumpkin (other than Charlie Brown's kind) until I moved to Alabama.
