Frozen Doors

We've recently experienced a cold snap (-40 C for 2 weeks) here in northern Alberta. On 5 occaisions, 3 of the 4 doors on my '07 Crew Cab would not unlock via the remote and when I was successful in unlocking them manually from the inside, they would not latch closed (just kept bouncing back open after closing attempts). Back in 2006, Nissan issued a Service Bulletin on this for the '04 & '05 models (NTB05-118a) suggesting installation of new lock actuator parts to rectify the problem. However, mine is an '07 and the new parts are supposed to have been incorporated. Have any other '07 model owners experienced this problem or does anyone have any suggestions ? This is a very frutrating problem when it happens...not being able to get into the truck when it's bitterly cold outside and then having passengers having to crawl over the driver's seat and console into the other seats. Any help would be appreciated.

My '04 was updated in '07 with the new parts a second time. I still have a problem with one door.

Re: Frozen Doors

I have a 05 LE I bought about 3 weeks ago with the same PROBLEMS you are having. The remote works when it wants to, (COLD OR HOT) and I have 3 door handles that freeze solid. We have had 4 weeks of bitterly cold weather here in northern Illinois. I am Head of grounds for a high school. I park in the heated garage at work. after about 2 min in there the doors handles work fine.
If it would stop flippen snowing here I would go to the dealer.
For the time being Ive been rolling the window down with the key and opening the door from the inside.

Re: Frozen Doors

I had a 2004 LE and the door freezing "option" was on my truck, too. Dispite many attempts, my dealer did not get it right and I lived with it. If it isn't the most frustrating thing to happen in a Titan, I don't know what is.
