Re: Recall - AC Control

Anyone know where the "A/C control unit" is located? inside the cab? under the hood?
I am inferring they had to adjust the cycle times and or intervals to combat icing.

Re: Recall - AC Control

Got my recall notice, called to make an appointment. Service guy knew exactly what I was talking about, but had to have the parts ordered. Appointment is next week.

Re: Recall - AC Control

I haven't gotten anything... I have an '07.

What problem does this fix? I've found that my system seems to run the AC when it shouldn't... For example, if I turn off the defroster, the AC stays on (even though the light is off). Or, sometimes, if I turn the AC off, the light goes off but the air is, without a doubt, being conditioned.

Is this related?

Not related. The controls on the '08's are completely new. The problem it fixes is, the AC may run excessively, and cause the lines to frost over, which will cause the blower output to be minimized. The 07 uses a different control unit all together. The control unit is located in the dash. It is the part with the knobs, and buttons that you use to control your HVAC system.
