Squeaky Bed Box

Hey Guys,

I have an 08 Pro-4X with 5000 miles on it and recently I have noticed the bed box has an annoying squeak whenever I hit a bump bigger than a pebble. I can only hear it when my rear window is down but its driving me nuts!!!! Has this happened to anyone? Any suggestions on what may be squeaking?

Thanks!

Re: Squeaky Bed Box

I have that same problem on my 07 but I haven't done anything about it yet. SO if somebody knows a quick fix I am interested.

Re: Squeaky Bed Box

There's a TSB out there for a squeaky leaf spring. I am not sure it it effects the '08s or not.

What's a TSB? Is that a recall?

No. It's a technical service bulletin. I also found out today that if your spare tire is loose, it can also cause squeaking going over bumps. Check that out too.

Re: Squeaky Bed Box

Among the many "minor" issues I've had included this squeaky bed box. I have an 07 LE king cab. Turned out to be LOOSE BOLTS...you know, the ones that keep the darn thing from flying onto the hood of the guy behind you?!? The service guy said he'd seen that on a Frontier before.

the bed was loose. I get chills remembering it now.
