Best Deal on Undercover Tonneau

I am looking at getting a tonneau for my new 2008.5....yeah baby, i finally got one. Anyway, anyone know where's the best deal to get one.

Also, if anyone thinks the undercover is not the way to go please shoot me an idea. I am looking for a hard tonneau that is water tight.

Re: Best Deal on Undercover Tonneau

I was going to get an undercover but I went to the local custom truck place and I did not like the look of it, it looked a bit cheap in my opinion (sorry anyone that has it, it is just my opinion).

I went with the access laredo cover (it is a soft cover, but it rolls up and is velcro on the side and locks at the back, real nice). I know a lot of guys go with the truxedo which is a very similar product.

Re: Best Deal on Undercover Tonneau

Cobra Glass in Alexandria LA. was $100 cheaper than anyone else locally. It may not help you in NV, but any Louisiana owners might feel the need to drive.
The Undercover is extremely water tight, even thru high pressure washers, thunderstorms, etc. I have tried to get my stuff wet and it protects so far.
As far as looks it seems to match the black bed rail look well. My truck is blue and black so it turned out great.
If I had to get a new cover today I would still go with the Undercover.

Re: Best Deal on Undercover Tonneau

I wanted an Undercover so bad for my King Cab, but after being jerked around for a year being told "we will have one soon for your bed" I said screw them.

I hate the fiberglass versions because they look like a coffin cover, they are way too heavy for me to take on and off by myself, and because they are painted they scratch real easy. I really wanted the Undercover because of the durable plastic finish and the light weight.

I went with a LazerLite cover, and I have to say, I cold not be happier. It's strong, has a durable powdercoated finish not just paint, looks great, light enough I can put on and off myself, locks down tight, has never allowed water into the bed, and, because it is flat and does not wrap around the top of the bed rails, I can open just the tailgate while the cover stays down, and locked.

It ain't cheap, but it is great.

Re: Best Deal on Undercover Tonneau

My pics.

The cover color is black, whick I also really like, and part of why the Undercover appealed to me. The sun's reflection is making this look grey, but it is not. What's hard to see is the slight bubble the top surface has, it sheds water wonderfully because of that shape.

I do like the looks of the Lazerlite. Is there rubber edging that runs around the periphery of the Lazerlite?

Quad T: Can I ask why you have a VTEC decal on your rear window? Do you race Honda's or is it to make fun of em. I know the decal adds an extra 10h each.

Re: Best Deal on Undercover Tonneau

$600 is an excellant deal IMO, I paid about 7 bills for mine... It's my second favorite accessory, only behind the "Remove to tow Chevy" hitch cover. Never had any problems with water. I did have to flip the Utilitrack system to install it as the utilitrack brackets we're not included and I was moving and didn't have time to wait for delivery. Here's a pic of mine...

Back windows of trucks are for displaying those things that interest you. This sticker is not some stupid fast n furious kind of mentality, if it was it would be on the front fender. And although I love all my Hondas, I'm just as proud of my Titan, because there is NO WAY even as a die hard Honda fan I would tow with a Ridgeline.

I'm totally into VTEC.

Yes, big rubber seal all the way around on the bottom edge of the aluminum plate. It seals out the weather very well.

Re: Best Deal on Undercover Tonneau

Quad T: Very nice. I was hoping that was the case. My friend runs his own shop here in northern cali (www.rcrewracing.com) and road races mostly Civics. I've done my fair share of working on Hondas and I just spent 2 weekends ago helping another buddy put in a new motors in his Integra. I love Hondas. My bed extender has it's share of Honda decals.
