I'm thinking of getting a bull bar and want to add lights to them. Did you have to get the slim lights or will regular lights that are about 4.5 inches deep fit ok? Assuming that most bull bars are about the same dimensions, will anything larger than 6 inch lights fit? I've also seen 6 inch lights that are 9 inches high with the mounting base and wondering if those would fit.
i have 4- 8" KC lights on the front of my truck. two are the driving lights and the other two are off-road lights. there is plenty of clearence behind them.
I've got the 170 Strikers by Lightforce on mine. They fit, but I had to reverse the mounting bracket as I felt they stuck out way too far otherwise. Typically, 6"-7" lights should fit. the 170 is over 7" outside diameter and it's not a problem in the standard bullbar holes. The holes are typically set at 18" which is the required distance between them, minimum - at least in PA.
I've got a true Aussie Bull Bar, full bumper with the bar that comes up to cover the entire front of the vehicle on my Samurai, tough as hell, and I have KCs on in it and they clear the grill. I've pushed trees over off road, and under wierd circumstances, I slid into the back of a Ram, tore the hell out of it and must broke the turn signal lense on mine.

Wow, I didn't realize that some states had a minimum required distance between lights! I wonder if Texas does - I was considering drilling another hole and possible putting 3. Maybe I won't now...
