Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

Is theere a difference between the 4x4 LE and the pro-4x?

I know the pro-4x has like colored stitching and embroidery in the leather (if u get leather) but its that the only diference? What about in the 4x4. Same stuff?? or is the pro 4x better for off road?

I wanna get a pro 4x but with all the LE options... is that available?

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

as far as i remember, the rear axle locker only comes on the PRO-4X. the shocks are different on the LE also. the rancho shocks are only on the PRO-4X. and from what i've heard the damping on the "normal" shocks are on the soft side for four wheeling.

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

Two additional skid plates as well on the Pro-4x. I think the two extras are for the radiator and the tranfer case...could be wrong on which ones but they are different. Also, different wheel/tire combo. Ohhh and don't forget the spiffy sticker.

One thing you can't get on the 2008.5 Pro-4x is dual climate control.

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

This is the one real complaint i have with the new models of Titans. The new models don't have all the options the older ones do. but that's not to say that i don't enjoy a lot of the features the new models have: like that niffty little digital scale that gives you real-time gas mileage.

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

I had an '07 LE 4x4 (which got totaled) and now an '08 Pro-4X. I don't miss anything I had with the LE. I got the Pro-4X mainly for the color matched trim (I'm not a fan of chrome) and the cool interior (stitching, white face gages, etc) - other than that, I swapped out the wheels/tires and soon to change out the crappy Ranchos. BTW, you can opt for the e-locker on the LE, too. The dual climate control was nice on the LE, but I can live without it.

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

I don't know if they changed it in the 08 models but I have an 05 LE 4x4 with a rear locking axle, towing gears, and it came with rancho shocks. You don't want to keep those ranchos though man, they SUCK! They have terrible bottoming resistance. Definately beef up the suspension.

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

I dont know anything about 08 option packages, but when I bought my truck I went with a fully loaded LE (off road package, etc)

To this date, the only thing left original from the off road package on my truck is the skid plate.... I have changed the coilovers up front, shocks and leafs in the back. I have new rims and tires.

And I will so be doing a trutrac.

If you think you MAY do any suspension upgrades down the road, consider that now. Had I thought about it, I wouldnt have gotten the OR package, and would have just got the big tow (which gives you the same gearing)

Now I know the current trutrac is not compatible with the 08's, but I'm sure it will become available soon.

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

Exactly what I was thinking when I bought my Pro-4x. I don't care all that much about the locking rear diff and the Ranchos will go soon enough. When I priced out a similar equipped SE it wasn't all that much cheaper. So I saved myself the trouble to get the few extras up front. Ohhh, and the interior rocks on these things.

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

i guess the other question you have to ask which length bed you want? i like the long bed on the crew cab but thats just my opinion

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

doesnt the LE now have wood trimmed dash? I don't much care for that in a truck. I like the interior of the Pro-4x better than the interior of the others but like the chrome features of the LE. I like the dash in my 05 better than that in the 08s.

So... if you like wood trim get the LE if not get the Pro 4x

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

Nissan has made the options on the Titan as complicated as those on any other truck... wish they would have kept it simpler... but oh well... their improvements added a long-bed to the line-up so i can't complain too much.

Yep, I got the CC LWB and love it! It definitely hurts the turning radius...minor gripe IMO. I can now haul my dirt bikes with the tailgate closed & locked (modified with power actuator, of course)!!!

Re: Differences between pro-4x and LE 4x4

You might want to check what gear ratio your getting if you don't get the pro 4. The earlier 4x4 titans that did not have the offroad packages came with the crapier gear ratio.
