My HVAC lights that illuminate the 3 giant knobs in the center stack are working intermittently. Typically, when my auto lights turn on, they HVAC lights don't come on immediately, like they used to. They'll take their sweet time and come on ~3+ minutes later. So far, they've always turned on eventually, however I know it's just a matter of time before they now longer work...period.
The gauges still work properly despite this issue. I've tried jiggling the plugs on the back of the unit itself and it didn't improve the issue. Any ideas?

Well, I've earned the 'D.A. Award'. I'm embarrased to admit why the lights were not coming on, but I need to allow my truck to save face.
Driving home last night, I turned on my headlights and again the HVAC IP lights don't turn on. I figured I'd adjust the brightness of the IP lights b/c I couldn't see them too well, and *wala* the dumb lights popped on! After some further tinkering, I figured out that if the dimmer is turned way down, the HVAC IP lights won't come on, but all the other lights (ie radio) will.
So, there's no issue and my faith in my Titan is once again restored. I'm a D.A., I know.
Actually alot of Titans have/had this problem. I did as well. I thought something was wrong wiith mine. Found a thread on here that said to adjust the dimmer and they have worked ever since.
So........dont feel to much like a D.A.

Actually, you are not. Even if the dimmer is all the way up, the lights may not come on (particularly if it is cold). Just adjusting the dimmer makes them come on. This is obviously a design defect which has not been found or repaired in the versions of the HVAC panel in some models. My HVAC circuit board has been replaced several times; it always comes back. They have never replaced the dimmer switch. Now I just live with it and adjust the dimmer switch when it gets cold. Now that I know how to fix it, it is not that big of a deal.
