Re: Shops pretty much finished !!!

I had a 1-part epoxy floor in my old garage and it sucked! Little did I know, you need the 2-part epoxy floors - hard le$$on learned.

What type of epoxy paint did you use on the floor and how much per gallon? That's my summer project at my new house!

I would also like to know more about the epoxy coating.

I want to epoxy the floor of my garage but I've been concerned that jack stands and a floor jack would tear the epoxy up. Do the two part epoxies stand up well to jacks and jack stands?

Re: Shops pretty much finished !!!

awesome shop man.... kinda makes me want to look for a bigger garage.

my dad has a shop but before i can do anything i have to clean for 2 hours so all the tools are away... but that's where the welder, press, grinders, and torch are.... and the jacks... you get my drift.

i guess this is behind your house? sweet!

Trying to keep it looking like a surgical room. Nice and clean. You dont lose stuff as easy and unfinished jobs get noticed easier.

Thats a good question. I think it was somewhere around $50 a gallon.

I didnt clear it. Its just a two stage epoxy. A buddy did it n/c so im not gonna complain. From what ive been told. Its all in the prep. If theres any contaminants in the concrete it will show or make the epoxy chip easier.

It faces the garage on the house. We built it far enough away from the house so you could pull a transporter in to unload.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I couldnt of done it without my close friends helping.
