I do all my own maintenance work. If figure why pay someone else to do something I can do. Also, it's not their truck, so they won't care about doing the best job they can.
I'm no lawyer so I can't tell you absolutely, but I read once that they passed a law some years back allowing people like me to do our own maintenance and not lose our warranty. You have to document dates of service and keep your receipts. I keep a little notebook in the toolbox and an envelope with the receipts.

My dealer wants to do nearly all the fluids at 30k. This includes oil, trans flush, rear end, coolant, etc. The BIG downside: total this comes to nearly $600. The upside: The dealership has a 'free tires for life' program as long as you do the scheduled maintenance through them. I guess this is how they pay for those tires. On most of the cars (Altima, etc) it wouldn't be worth it. On a Titan, it's probably in my favor. Those tires aren't cheap! They will replace with same / similar tires to OEM. However, they will also give me credit for the cost of the OEM if I want to upgrade. I hate the OEM, but I also don't want some soft compound mudders or highway screamers. I need better traction in mud / snow, but will also be towing a 7500 lb. camping trailer.
Dealership said I could pretty much do the tires any time after the 30k mile service.
Suggestions?
Damn Tiggrrr...that sounds like a awesome deal for you there. My dealer wants to charge me nearly $300 just for both front/rear diff and tranny drain/refill...not a flush.
If a stealership told me my warranty would be voided if I went one mile over the required service interval, I would turn around and walk out. I agree to adhere to the manual, not the stealership, the majority are full of it.
I do agree that preventative maintenence is very important.
One interesting thing I've learned in life and this was with my town when adding on to my house and the inspectors were talking specifics like your Nissan service writer does. When they state an absolute fact that I disagree with, I let them know I want a photo copy of the fact (statute)they are quoting and sign your name to it as required by my attorney. You have no idea how they refuse to stand their ground and give in. Where certain things in the house were failing in their opinion now were passed and signed off on. I had inquired with others in the trades about what is was and they said it wasn't even close to being failing it was just a "A" hole trying to be badass.
With the truck if he does sign it fax it to Nissan corporate and more than likely they won't agree. More time than yiy know I've said to a service writer that they are not Nissan just a factory authorized repair facility, they can't make up things on their own just tow the company line.

You have two choices in life:
You can stay single and be miserable,
or get married and wish you were dead.
Sorry to bring this up again, but I did my tranny and radiator service last year about this time (I have 32k now) and I did my AC sevice last summer. I do all my own work on oil, filters, diff front and back and tire rotation.
What could I have done this summer? Thinking new shocks, transfer caser, brakes...? Can the throttle body or something like that be cleaned for better performance. Belts and hoses?
Trying to keep this truck along time. Like the fact that I can get under it easy. The new Z I just got is a totally different story.

Sounds like you have most of the usual items covered. I can tell you (and others here will back me up) that if you are still on your OEM shocks at 32K, they are probably shot. My rears were shot at 30K, I'm still trying to squeeze another 10K out of the fronts. So, that may be a good investment for you. Transfer case should be relatively easy to take care of yourself. I'd give the other items an inspection and replace only if necessary. Speaking of hoses, you may want to inspect the clips on tranny cooler lines and on other hoses in general as the OEM ones have been known to leak. You could get a dealer replacement or just replace yourself with a better clip.

Hey man thanks for the advice and info, i appreciate the time you took to type it out. Ya, shocks for sure. Are the fronts technically called struts or coilovers. They seem like they would be more expensive and include an alignment also. I have noticed my truck has been riding like a much older vehicle the last 6 months. Used to ride really great. Can tell the difference on city streets and highway. Seems less stable and rides rougher.
Put different clamps on the hose lines at the bottom of the radiator. Used the kind you tighten with a screw driver and made sure I didn't crack the fitting by horseing it down.
Thanks again, everyone.
I always skip all the minor services (excep oil change) until 30k. And even for the 30k service, I am skeptical when I most of the things they do on the list is to "check" this and that. The only real works are the fluid change (trans/engine/coolant/diff.). But now I find out the trans doesn't require fluid change until 60k, may be I should have just let them change engine/coolant/diff fluid instead and save $$$. But i guess with all the warranty works they've performed on my car may be I should let them make some $$$

I replaced all 4 with Bilstein HD ($260 for all 4) at 22k street driving only and it makes huge difference. No alignment needed. Best $ invested.
