2008 Titan SE CC 4X2 standard equipped

Ok guys, I need some help. I have been looking at some pics of 2008 SE and see they come with foglights and tow hooks. Can someone out there let me know if you purchased a 2008 with these features that were standard for the SE. Not the 2008.5. I can't believe that Nissan is being so ****ty with the standard features on a truck! I spent $200 on foglights today and they only work with the lights on. Can't just run foglights and I think they should have been standard on an SE. A truck without towhooks!!!!???? Come on!!!

my 05 SE has oem fogs and tow hooks...is that not standard?

Not standard. The tow hooks are added with some packages. And the fog lights are only standard with the LE. My 08 didn't have fog lights, and my dad's 08 didn't have fogs or hooks.

Tricky. All 08 4X4 SEs have the tow hooks (SE 4X2s can get them with the TRAC package) but the fogs are only on the PRO-4X and LE (easiliy added because they all come wired for factory fogs).
The factory fogs only come on with the low beams.

See my sig for my truck - no fogs but have the tow hooks. Wish those damn OEM's weren't so expensive as I'd like to have a pair...

Maybe I'll just put some off-road lights on and pretend their ghetto fog lights!!

I believe you can order some aftermarket foglamps that are like the OEM, if you don't mind doing the wiring and having a different switch. I wanted to just be able to plug and go. I am disappointed that you can't run the foglights seperate though. They should be able to do everything, considering how much they cost! Did your tow hooks come on factory? Did you buy it new? How much are the tow hooks?

Why the big deal about only being able to use the fogs with the low beams? They're nothing more than jewelry on our trucks since they do absolutely nothing....lol. Is it just the look of having them on with the parking lights?..I don't get it?

Tow hooks were already on my truck, because it was the 4x4 version I believe. Bought it brand new. Now they're in my garage waiting on a project that I can use them on as my new grille guard has tow loops built in.

Maybe I'll paint them gold and make a stupid little trophy out of them and give them to my cousin when he gets his new suburban stuck in the muck this summer.... heheheh

To answer your question Hudson, yeah, it is just to look cool with only the foglights on, nothing more. Hey, I don't know if you remember from before about my bed shake. It was pretty much the tires. The dealer road forced them and went through about fourteen tires and replaced two rims to get it right. I fixed the tailgate with some attachment tape and it is tighter than hell now! yes a truck without towhooks is like saying a truck without 4wd? when is a truck just not a truck anymore?

I have the 2008 brochure in front of me and this is what I see under specifications for the SE under exterior

Fog lights N/A
Front tow hooks standard on 4x4 or comes with trac package on 4x2

hope this was the info you were looking for

My 2008 SE CC 4X2 did not come with fog lights or tow hooks. I am thinking about getting fog lights to run with the lows, and put some driving lights in the tow hook holes, to run with the Hi beams!!
